Hello, my name is Russ Stamey. I have been a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT) for 17 years. After receiving my massage training and certification at the Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, North Carolina.
I have continued my education by completing training and certifications in Orthopedic, Sports and Reflexology massage, as well as studying in Chang Mai, Thailand to increase my previous learning of Thai Massage.
With my training, I have learned to incorporate movement and stretching of the body during sessions, and along with I may use different tools such as Graston/Gua Sha (scraping tools), Cupping (suction cups) or Tok Sen (percussion tools). I have worked in different settings: massage therapy establishments, multi-service spas and medical clinics, along with collaborating with Chiropractors, Physical Therapist, and other Doctors.
With each of these experiences, I have gained a better understanding of how to help the physical body and hopefully bring it to a more restful state.
